Earlier this month, Google started selling Nexus One as the first super phone that would be sold by the company itself, rather than a manufacturing or carrier partner.

One of the minus point of Google Nexus One because didn’t ship with a multitouch capable web browser even though the hardware and Android 2.1 OS is fully capable of doing it.

Nexus One has a touchscreen but users can only tap on it with one finger. So none of the two-finger pinch-and-zoom gestures that are popular among iPhone users are available in Nexus One’s native web browser.Apparently because the issue of iPhone’s copyright in US market. Posibly N1 outside US has multitouch capable web browser.

Steve Kondik, a developer who goes under the nickname Cyanogen, has modified the Android 2.1 operating system running on the Nexus One to enable multitouch for the device. Though it enables the feature for the Nexus One browser, for now, it is likely to soon become a part of other applications, such as maps.

“You will initially lose your bookmarks and browser settings by doing this,” he warns. Hacking the phone could also void its warranty.

Follow the step by step instructions posted below to install the multitouch add-on for Nexus One to enable multitouch functionality. You’ll need to first root your Google phone before you follow the steps posted below.

Note: Follow the guide on your own risk. We are not to be held responsible if you end up bricking your phone.

Step 1: Follow the step by step guide posted here to root your Nexus One if you haven’t already.

Step 2: Download all the required files for Nexus One multitouch add-on from the source link here.

Step 3: Now simply add these files by running the following commands:

adb shell stop
adb remount
adb shell rm /system/app/Browser.odex
adb push Browser.apk /system/app
adb push com.cyanogenmod.android.jar /system/framework
adb push com.cyanogenmod.android.xml /system/etc/permissions
adb shell reboot

Step 4: That’s about it! Once your phone has rebooted, run the browser to try out all the multitouch goodness!

Enjoy the video showing multitouch capability in Nexus One web browser.

Google launched its Android phone, the Nexus One (N1), on January 5th,2010. Personally I’m very interest to have this Google Super Phone.

Compare to Motorola DROID, Nexus One is faster. Although there is no keyboard but you can do a lot of activity by voice. You can send sms, search the web, use Google maps/streetview, update Facebook status by talking to the Nexus One.

You can enjoy how interesting the Nexus One on Youtube channel.

At this time Nexus One only available to purchase from http://www.google.com/phone for you who live in the US, UK, Hong Kong or Singapore.

If you’re not access the web page from those countries, Google will says “Sorry, the Nexus One phone is not available in your country”.

Is it possible to purchase Google Android Nexus One if you live outside the US, UK, HK, or Singapore ?

Off course, it’s only need software to hide your own IP address. My IP address is now detected as 64.62.196.33. It’s in United States, Illinois, Chicago. You can check IP location on http://www.ip2location.com/free.asp

Here’s the easy guide how to purchase the Nexus One to your own address even if you live outside the US, UK, HK, or Singapore

1.Downloading and install the free Hotspot Shield software (Windows & Mac only). By installing this you protect your location and IP address so that Google’s web store won’t block you out from the ordering process. When installed and activated, proceed to the next step.

2.Sign up for a US based shipping address at MyUSABox.com. In practice, this is free as the US $5 they charge for registering will be credited to you when you use the service for the first time. They ship products worldwide and even repackage the boxes for an additional fee to help minimize custom declarations in your local country.

Your Address will be similar to:

Android operating system has been available as open source since October 2008 and getting popular everywhere.

Currently it’s only available commercially on mobile phone such HTC Hero and Portable Audio Video such Archos. Acer recently announced Acer Android-based netbook available now for pre-order.

4G WiMAX ecosystem also pay attention at Android. ITRI in Taiwan recently launched its Android-based WiMAX PID and CLEAR in U.S. just release Android WiMAX framework.

Analysts suggest that by 2012, Android could be the second largest mobile phone OS with 14% of the market, behind Symbian (with 36%) and in front of iPhone OS (with 13%). Gartner suggests “Android is simply licensed to more manufacturers with strong companies like HTC, LG, and Dell behind it.

An Android geek said that if we talk about Android phone there will be three party that involve Google,Manufacture and Operator.Among them Google is dominated.

But where are the Android Developers involved ? Android phone will be an expensive phone if user can’t customized it with many applications from developer community.

Many programmer want to develop an Android project. Especially because you can sell the Android Applications on Android Market.

For the first Android project you can try to create an awesome game because the game application for Android apparently become the top free applications on the Android Market.

Android Market enables developers to easily publish and distribute their applications directly to users of Android-compatible phones. For a comprehensive, up-to-date list of the thousands of titles that are available, you will need to view Android Market on a handset.

Originally only freeware applications were supported. Paid-for apps have been available on the Android Market in the United States since 19 February 2009.

So if you dream to earn money from your Android Applications, but doesn’t have any Android-based device even the old HTC Dream aka T-Mobile G1.

Eventhough Android running on the Linux kernel but don’t worry you can set up Android developer environment in Windows XP (32-bit) or Vista (32- or 64-bit).

Actually Android SDK also available for several platform, for example Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later (x86 only), Linux (tested on Linux Ubuntu Hardy Herob).

Android Applications developed in Java and the development platform is really easy to get into. It features XML (DSL) for GUI interface building, easy strings internationalization, app storage within SQLite database, background processes management etc. To make a long story short, it’s how modern mobile application development platform should look like.

The only downside is that all Android applications are in Java, and for some developers Java became the synonym of slowness (although it’s not that slow on Android).

Anyway this Android tutorial only share about how to set up the developer Environment in Windows XP platform. But remember for the base SDK package you will need at least 600MB available disk space. For each platform downloaded into the SDK, an additional 100MB is needed.

Basically you will need these five main steps :

Download and Install the Android SDK and test the Android Emulator.

Install Java

Install Eclipse, a professional editor.

Install ADT Plugin in Eclipse : The ADT (Android Development Tools) plugin includes a variety of powerful extensions that make creating, running, and debugging Android applications faster and easier.

Create “HeloWorld” application

Here’s the detail step by step installation :

1.1 Download Android SDK ( current version android-sdk_r3-windows.zip ). The zip file is 230MB.

1.2. Create folder C:\android. Extract Android SDK and put in C:\android

1.3.Now, set your PATH environment variable by right click on My Computer, and select Properties. Under the Advanced tab, hit the Environment Variables button, and in the dialog that comes up, double-click on Path under System Variables. Add the full path to the tools/ directory to the path, in this case, it is:
